Hartland Heritage Walks

A series of walks were produced in 2011 in conjunction with The Hartland Peninsula Association these have been available from their website for almost twelve months. - LINK

Borough Walk Coastal Walk
Hartland Borough Heritage Walk - a circular walk of approximately one mile exploring how the borough town of Harton, came to be, covering 1000 years of history.

Hartland Parkland Heritage Walk - a circular walk of approximately two miles, taking you through the still surviving medieval deer parks of the ancient  Dinham family, and the later parklands of Hartland Abbey.

Parkland Walk Northern Walk
Hartland Coastal Heritage Walk - a circular walk of approximately four miles that includes roads, public footpaths and some steep and rough terrain. The walk will take you from Stoke through a section of The South West Coast Path between Spekes Valley and Hartland Quay, and takes in information recently gathered from community projects led by the University of Exeter, Department of Archaeology.

Hartland Northern Heritage Walk -  a circular route of approximately four miles that includes road, public footpaths and tracks. The walk takes you through a late medieval deer park, an early religious site and past some of the parish’s more substantial houses, before returning to Hartland.
